The Health Sciences Libraries are sponsoring the traveling exhibit, “Opening Doors: Contemporary African-American Academic Surgeons” from the National Library of Medicine.  During August, the six panel exhibit will be on display on the 4th Floor of Taubman Medical Library.  In October, the exhibit will move to the Gallery (Room 100) at Hatcher Graduate Library. In addition,  Dr. Alexa Canady, a pediatricneurosurgeon featured in the display, will be coming to campus to speak on October 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Graduate Library Gallery.  Dr. Canady holds her Undergraduate and Medical School degrees from the University of Michigan and is known for her “patient-care first” approach to practice.  Learn more about Dr. Canady here.
